I am wondering if my car had origanlly came with a keyless entry fab? I was searching Ebay for them and they seem to have more availble for the 3.2 and other models of acuras. Does it matter what keyless remote I buy, regardless of acura make , modle or year? or does it have to be for a 96 2.5 tl ? Thanks

 

I looked into this for my 97 2.5TL. The wiring diagrams appear "almost identical" but not absolutely identical. There is a different part no. for the keyless entry controller. You can find used ones on car-part.com, last I checked. Are they interchangeable? I never could be sure.

In the end I decided, it was not worth all the trouble to simply unlock the door. Security features are virtually identical for both cars, only the keyless entry feature appears to differentiate them.
