interesting audio issue

so my radio kept turning on and off whenever it wanted. and not just to the clock....the power to the radio was gone. i kept hearing clicks, almost static-type sounds down by the fuses. if i would wiggle the wires, sometimes it would come back on. usually it wouldn't come on at all on the way to work, but then right when i started car after work, it would turn right on. or if i run the car for awhile, it comes on.

so today i took that plastic cover off, and there is a plug that has four or five wires going into it above the fuses. if i shook that, it would click and snap like before and the radio would turn on and off. so i thought that was it, but then if i shook the whole fuse holder, even ever-so-slightly, it did the same thing. no idea what the deal is. anyone know a way to fix this?? it's SUPER annoying. thanks all.

If it is clicking/snapping/popping etc.... It is probably a relay... (litte black box with prongs?) Anywho go to parts store and buy a radio/clock relay and replace it its probably bad

sounds like the clicking is coming from the back of the plug.....but it's hard to tell in that confined space. that plug just has female prongs....would that be the deal? or could it be the connector itself...that part on the fuse block? quasi confused as to which i should be changing here.

usually clicking sound comes from the relay.
