Intake manifold removal tips needed
Intake manifold removal tips needed
So I'm finally getting around to removing the manifold and cleaning the ports. The car is failing the emmisions test due to egr valve, but was told before on here that the ports probably just need cleaned. I know that I should probably search to find the answers to my questions, but oh well I'll ask anyway!
If anyone has already done this please feel free to give me any tips. This is by far the biggest project I've ever attempted, so please pray that I don't screw anything up! The car has 233,000 miles on it and I would hate for it to die on my "operating table".
Thanks!

So over the weekend I got the manifold and egr valve removed. I sent out the intake to be cleaned at a local machine shop my friend works at. I posted a few pics, if you want to see them click on my name and look at my albums. When I put everything back together next week I'm going to attempt to do a DIY since I found no help on here for this. Either way in the future if you ever get a P0401 code email and I'll tell you how to fix it yourself and save a shit load of money. I can't wait to get this back together and drive my wonderful car again. I really miss her!
