I need to roll the milage FORWARD on my new ebay'd guage cluster

I think you file a new odometer statement w/ the state to reflect the change in odometer setting. This provides a paper trail to the true mileage.
If you're really a demon to have the correct mileage you could build a pulse generator to simulate the pulses from the vehicle speed sensor and drive the odometer at 250 mph or so to roll up the miles while you sleep.
I could live w/ a revised mileage statement.
good luck

it's very easy.
I have done his on my car 2 weeks ago.
Remove the clear plastic cover. carefully pry off the plastic tab, remove 2 screws and carefully remove the clear cover.
You can use a tooth pick or very skinny screw driver head to manually move the mileage to right digit. It's going to take a little force to turn.
Just be careful not to strip the sharp tooth on the odometer.
as far as the gas needle goes, I filled up the car all the way, then moved the gas needle to F.
It's not a big deal.
I did this on my TL and on a Corolla recently.
Texas is right, but as long as the cluster and the OBD reflects same exact thing, I think you would be ok.
While you at it, replace the D4 and any other bulb that is burnt out.

I just went through this too.... the dealer put a sticker in my doorframe attesting to the true milleage at the time of replacement and the difference.... the potential problem here is that, without the sticker, the state will flag the difference when you go in for registration renewal or safety inspection and then you have to spend the afternoon getting your docs in order and explaining to the nice man why you are not engaged in fraud.
