I just hit the 200,000 Mile Club
Well Folks I have had my old girl, 1996 2.5 Acura TL since 1998 with 24,000 on the odometer and today in history I have made it to 200,000 miles. She has been a very dependable girl. I just had to change the Alternator 4 weeks ago but all is well. The interior still looks great, unfortunately I cannot say the same for the exterior, with the rash of hit and runs when I leave her parked out on the street over night. The only thing I do need to do is get rid of the Check Engine Light (O2 Sensor) and the ABS Light, as well as fix the D4 Bulb and D1 Bulb.
Then I think I will try to find two used Front Fenders, Black Preferrably so I dont have to paint, and mabey take it to the body shop to fix all the scratches and dings especially on the bumpers.
Just though I would share with you guys the happiness this car has brought to me.

Thanks, based on reading your signature, I forgot to mention that I have to fix the Passenger side vent, as the grill popped out and just the louvers are there, I will try to fix it when I have time..lol...other than that she is mint on the inside.

your seats are in good condition too?? I may need to go to a junk yard and find me some nice leather seats. I also need some stock TL wheels
Anybody have any stock TL wheels they want to sell or trade?

The Seats are in Great Condition and the Rear seats are almost new in appearance. The drivers seat has some wear, just looks a little worn but no holes or major cracks, just a little worn by the Lumbar and from getting in and out of the car.
I am going to pick up some 18's for the car, but plan on keeping my stock rims just incase...

Great job. I posted my car's history when I passed 200k a year ago. I'm now at 222K.
What were the symptoms leading up to your alternator failure? Did it leave you stranded? I'm driving with the original part!

I have to say the car has NEVER EVER left me stranded, she has always gotten me home in one piece. I noticed a slight whine comming out of the engine bay, and thought to myself hey I dont have a super charger so something must be up, I listened closely and sounded like it was comming from the Alternator, then when I started driving the car I noticed the Battery Light came on a couple of times so I figured that has to be the problem. So I took it in and My Mechanic confirmed it.

98 Blue 2.5 TL 200,050 mi
Tried to get a movie on my phone of it changing over from 199,999 to 200,000 but I was late by 3 seconds....I was sad for the rest of the morning that I missed this monumental moment in my car's life! LOL!

Haha, I know...was like that when I bought it over 2K miles ago. I need to unplug the battery for a while and see if it resets since I cleaned the IACV.
