Humid VS Dry performance

I dont know if anyone else has noticed this, but my car (97 3.2) is way more responsive when its dry and a little cold compared to humid...I figure I need the 100,000 mile tuneup and this is probably a plug/plug wire thing, but its a very noticable difference when its dry....has anyone else noticed this? I do have a CAI as well which could be part of the issue

The nature of combustion is mixing air with fuel.

Humid days add water into the air, which doesn't help it along when it comes to a strong ignition. Hot air can't be compressed as well as cold air, which is why they put intercoolers on some FI cars.

You might just be a sensitive driver. Or if there really is a significant difference, I would suspect your fuel injectors aren't making a nice even spray.

The 3.2 comes with platinum plugs that should last to 120,000 miles.

ah, makes sense, didnt think about it that in depth before...but that totally makes sense. I am a really sensative driver, especially when it comes to my car gaining or losing power...I'm one of those ppl that can feel any changes in my car type thing. I have about 105,000 miles...so that all should be ok I would think...but its about time for the late mile tune up from Acura, i just have to find out if Honda will do it for free like an actual Acura dealership would do...we dont have an Acura dealership in Fargo. Sometimes I really hate this city. lol
