132mph on I-64 from St.Louis
Pretty damn stable. Starts to get a little light in the front when you cross the 120mph mark.
Damn Binky! 244kph?!
Damn Dave0935! 140mph with 3 blokes in the car!
I'm guessing both you gentleman also have 3.2's?
Given the rate at which the car was pulling at 130mph, I'd say the car was good for 145mph give or take. It's possible a TL with a Type II motor could crack 150mph, if gearing permits.

Vishnus.. I can do at least 145 mph, but I wont. My tires arent rated for it and my self-control wont let me.
You brought up a good point about gearing.. i dont like pushing my tranny past 6200 rpms (even though the type II motor does 6700)

What kind of top speed does our gearing permit - assuming 6200rpm redline. Any info on this and on the top speed of a Type II on the 4At tranny?
Personally, I'd be comfortable running at 4500rpms give or take, but nothing more than that. I reckon that'd put me at around 130mph. Now if I could just workin on getting the government boys to raise that speed limit....double it perhaps (and then some).....
Oh, and one more ? for anyone who knows? Was this car sold in Germany, or in greater Europe for that matter? I'm sure Honda/Acura engineers took that into account (as far as high speed driving goes) if it indeed was sold there. Interesting to see how it fares on the "bahn"
