How do i clean my leather seats? I just bought some leather cleaner by meguilars and when i used it, all this dirt got on the rag! it was all black and sh*t... is there a way to clean the seats, to get rid of the dirt, before i apply the leather cleaner? is there some product? or do i just get a wet rag and just clean out the dirt before applying the leather conditioner or cleaner or whatever it is i bought ?

 

I don't know if this sounds any different from what you tried, but I've been using the LEXOL (I think thats the brand) cleaner that they sold at the dealership here. I used both the cleaner then conditioner. I didn't clean the seats first, just applied the cleaner with a damp cloth, then wiped off. Made sure it was fully clean then conditioned. it worked just fine like that for me.

 

oh so there is a cleaning product that we can use before applying the leather conditioner??? was your "cleaner" the same brand as you conditioner? I just want to prevent future 'crackings' in my leather seats.. my seats are starting to look like stretch marks!
