Honda saber\ Acura TL 3.2 Problems, need some help please
I have a 1996 Honda Saber which is a UA3 and with the exception of the right hand drive (its a Japanese import) it is identical to the TL 3.2 or the Honda Inspire.
I have some of the same issues that I have read about such as the slow windows and what not and this is a great place for fixes, but I have a couple of issues that I am looking for some help with if possible.
1. I need a service manual for this car but I am not sure where to get it.
2. My Thermal Expansion valve for the Air Conditioning system is clogged and here in New Zealand (yes long way off) there is not a single replacement in the country so I need some help with finding parts. (my buddy in the states can mail me stuff). Reason being is that Honda Japan wants $600 for the damn part.
I could match the valve to a local one of a different honda\acura model but I don't know where its located, hence the need for a service manual.
I need some help here guys.
Thanks
Bobby

US Acura service manuals are available from helminc.com for $65-$75, and worth every penny to have a hard copy complete manual for your model. First DIY job pays for the cost.
The expansion valve is attached to the evaporator, which is under the dashboard on the RH side of US models. It may be reversed for RH drive vehicles. You can separate the expansion valve from the evaporator w/ evaporator in place. Not an easy job on these TL's, though but not too difficult. Easy for me to say, as I've never had to do this, but I 've read the manual description,...JIC.
There was a partial 3.2TL manual posted on this site at one time, but was taken down for copyright reasons.
good luck

OP why don't you try having the part shipped to you from a dealership in the US?
Try www.oemacuraparts.com
I had the service manual on my old computer but I don't have it anymore. We use to have the entire service and owners manual here but due to "infringement violations" we cannot have it up here anymore.

^ That's for 95-96 2.5s. 97-98 was a little different. Don't worry about it, I'll send you a copy, too. Oh, and now that both my D4 and D3 lights are out, I'm making LED ones and will post them in the other thread.

So I guess you've tried Strong Honda in Onehunga?
There is a Honda parts dealer right next to my Muay Thai Gym here in Chch called coincidentally, Strong Brothers Honda
Call them to see if they have what you need (03-366 8347)
I picked up some parts for my Saber from them last year
If I remember I might stop in there before training next week to see what they have
