Sorry to intrude, but I was wondering how many 1st gen drivers do or want to do the Acura to Honda conversion? Is it a common thing with 1st gens?

 

you mean, like put Inspire bagde, tail and headlights?
I guess there's quite a few of us.
I just got the JDM tail and I knid of like it.

I want to, its just that my emblems have etched into the paint and it would chip if i removed them. Plus the grills are hard to find...

 

^ Yeah, prices on UA3 grills have skyrocketed due to the rarity of good condition ones. Not to mention there weren't that many to begin with.

I found two...

 

UA1/2s are common as hell, the UA3s appear on eBay once every 6 months or so. The one up above is on eBay now, but $100 plus shipping is a bit much, considering shipping will be $70. There was one local here, but it was missing one of the chrome strips and was scratched. Guy still wanted $150 for it. You UA4/5 guys are lucky to have much more cars made (totally) compared to us UA1/2/3 guys.

Just because they made more UA4/UA5's doesn't make us lucky. Its almost impossible to find anything for our cars now. No JDM Spoiler, Inspire/Saber grills (unless its for the 02-03, 99-01 are impossible to find), HOA Shift knobs. Check ebay, far more true JDM stuff for Ua1/Ua2/Ua3's.

When I saw the Honda grills for u guys on Ebay I almost wanted a 98 TL just so I could have the grill....I want one so bad for my 00 TL

 

Haha, later second gens sure are more plentiful. There are a few I see very often whom I can bet money are on this forum, riding in UA5s with complete Inspire badging, etc. One's dark grey and he recently blew one of his HIDs. For you guys, places stock replacement parts. Plus sharing a chassis with Accord effectively doubles (or more) the amount of your "type" of car on the road, meaning brakes, suspension components, basically all maintenance parts are widely available. I wouldn't mind you picking one up and joining us on this side of the boards, though! We've been bleeding members recently...
