high offset wheels for 3.2's
high offset wheels for 3.2's
Does anyone have high offset wheels on their 3.2? (+48, + 50 or above) If so, can you post some pics, please. Its very hard to find these high offset wheels. Does anyone know where to find them? (Tire rack and discounttiredirect, etc have a real slim lineup.) Any pics or input is appreciated.
thanks, Andy

The 3.2 has a larger wheelbase than the 2.5 and needs greater offset rims otherwise the wheelbase will extend even further and cause tires to rub with the car's fenders. That is, unless you stiffen the suspension.
I tried +40 offset 17" wheels on my 3.2 and the rear wheels rubbed when I carried rear weight and took curves or heavy bumps. For comparison, the stock 3.2 wheels have +65 offset.

I think 7.5 +42 is the lowest offest to avoid rubbing on the outside. I guess depending on the tire you can get away with a 7.5 +40 at least on 2.5s, is that what you have Baller or do you have 7 inch wide wheels. I dont know about 3.2 clearance. Getting a higher offset like +45 or +48 or higher as you get wider should save you from rubbing.

most of the response so far is from 2.5 owners. The 3.2 has a lot fewer options of wheels that will not rub. I have 17 x 7s with a +45 offset on the car right now. The appearance is that they stick out a little bit. They also rub with the car fully loaded.
I plan to move up to 18 x 7.5's and put on some eibach springs. I don't want to be rubbing on bumps. The absolute lowest offset I'm going to consider is +48, but I would like to find some +51's or higher. I'm looking for info on wheels with this type of offset (where to find them or any info from people who have used them or pics).
Thanks for the help, guys.
