hid conversion kit?
hid conversion kit?
just wondering what you guys think about those $120 hid conversion kits and do they fit in our normal headlights? i forget what our headlights are but i think our fogs are h4 if you did the h4 conversion and like h4b if not.

Always have been illegal, but on our cars, they can pass for stock. Just get a Casper shield, and aim them a bit on the lower side. I hate all those Civics who apparently don't know how to adjust them.

P.S. Oh and be careful with the cheap stuff. My friend didn't want to buy a set of my JDM conversion kits because they cost too much and he ended up with one bulb that changed colour after being installed for a week. Another friend bought McCullochs because they are an OEM supplier, now everytime he hits a bump they shut off and he has to restart them.

Low/High are H4. No point in getting Bi-Xenon, though, as our lows turn off when our highs engage. There was a thread where we talked about this before. I think I might've posted pics.

I don't know that it would make much sense to put xenon in the fog lights -unless it's merely an aesthetic thing you're going for.
The reflection/refraction pattern of the fog lights isn't meant to illuminate like a headlight. It's more of a flood light (opposed to a headlight's spot light.) A flood light in xenon form would just be irritating for oncoming drivers and virtually useless visible light for yourself. I don't know what these HID shields will do, but the time and effort Honda put into designing the TL's optics far outweighs that of any aftermarket HID manufacturer, or HID accessories.
Furthermore, the yellow color is quite strategic, as it cuts through fog better than a typical headlight can. You should sport your yellow lights with pride... it's one of the few cars these days that actually have this feature.

Hanabi 6000k in the fogs

i have since taken them out and went back to the yellow... i like the contrast...
I never got a chance to photograph the HID fogs,
. Well, I tried that same night that the motor blew but I couldn't get a clear shot since I was freezing cold. I loved how the fogs would come on with a burst of white light, dim, and have a gradation from dark yellow to neon green to deep green to pale yellow to a bright, rich yellow.
That was always fun to watch...
