You can get a part list from ebay for a few bucks.

Here is a list of all the parts and parts number related to the engine room control unit on a 96 3.2TL. You can get an idea of how much parts will cost from here as well. Hope this helps:

thanks main70072, just what i needed

heres another one, hopefully my prayers will be answered on this one too.

can anyone decode this code, "manufacture specific powertrain trouble code 1305".

the reason why ive been asking these questions is my car has a rough idle after sitting at the autobody shop for 2 months. the car was running fine after the accident when i had to move it off of the freeway. now my exhaust is louder than usual and at stop lights, the car sorta jolts forward in small increments and shakes. at first, i thought it might be bad gas, not the case. took it to a friend who does side jobs and found out that cylinder 5 is misfiring. changed all spark plugs, even switched #5 coil pack to #6 spark plug and it works... switched #6 coil pack with #5 spark plug and nothing, switched them back to its correct numbers #5 coil pack with #5 spark plug and #6 coil pack with #6 spark plug and #5 cyclinder doesnt work. so its not the coil packs either. so he might think its the ignition module or the spark plug voltage detection module but i dont wanna spend $300 for each just to do process of elimination and find out its not the problem.

i hope someone on here knows wtf is going on with my car. lol.

if you know someone that has a tl like yours , take there ignition and spark module and test it on your car before you even buy..

i had a rough idle before too.. now it went away but it wasnt due to the misfire

^^^unfortunately i did not have the luxury of that.

well, if anyone in the future has this type of problem and checks all the "easy" steps first and nothing, itll prob be a ignition control module. in my case, it was. very expensive lil thing but easy to change out.
