Heavy trunk lid?
Hey folks,
I'm driving along the other day when I hit a minor pot hole. Then I notice that I hear a weird rattling from my trunk. When I reach home I go to open my trunk and notice that the trunk lid feels really heavy. I take a look underneath the lid and notice two rods that go across the upper part of the trunk one side. The rods cross and have one end seated in a kind of tab on the trunk. One rod is in place with one end on the tab and the other end hooked into the opposite trunk lid support. The other rod appears to have broken at the end that goes into the trunk lid support. Has this happened to anyone else? Any other fixes to consider? Thanks for any help.

TLx,
That diagram is beautiful!!! Thanks for posting it! So, I see that I need to replace the broken rod and I will definately check the spacer thingy to make sure it isn't broken as well. You're awesome man, and I just love this place. Thanks alot!
