Heater Core Leaking?

My 98 with 86k miles is making a puddle after running for a while - all leaking from what appears to be an open hose from the heater core, right at the base of the engine compartment. Has anyone had a simiilar issue?

It is not oil, and it is much clearer than the antifreeze, more like water with a residue

don't mean to question your intelligence or anything but im just thinking of the obvious - the water that drips from the air conditioning unit (normal).

Not a problem, this is condensed water from the AC. It was a surprising amount, so perhaps it was more than that, but unlikely. Thanks.
