Anyone know if there is anything that can be done with headlights that are not bright anymore.
the lens on both of the headlights of my 1998 tl have faded is there a fix or do i need to replace them.

 

i think you mean your headlight has oxidation on them? there are products to clean that off. last i checked, wal-mart has some products for that. look in their automotive dept.

 

autoparts store........Permetex sells a headlight restoration kit with different high grit sandpapers. They polish the headlight back out. shits like 12 bucks

Ive also automotive cleared(painted) the lense before and it looked like brand new and still does.

 

I tried doing this with some Meguiars PlastX.... comes in a tube for about $8-10. Only problem is that it looks like my headlights are actually dirty or dull on the inside, so this didn't help very much.

 

You need a lot of elbow grease to get the dullness out, but it can be done.

Theres no other tl's 1st gen remotely fixed up in the area.

Im from Indian Hill area, but i reside in blue ash and work in sharonville. Ive got a farm in fairborn though that has pole buildings and a newly added paint booth type deal. Nothing fancy but it does the job just fine.

Im pretty much all over cincinnati.

I work on my own stuff out of my garage, i used to work for a friends shop but he turned out to be a dope head and has gone down the toilet. Lost touch with him years ago.
