hey guys.....

i was tryin to put in some aftermarket head lights, while i was putting it in they metal clip ( the one that holds the head light into place) popped off. it kinda looks like a paper clip thing. i think it broke off......so i was wondering do i need to buy another head light housing or is there a replacement part for it. because i look at it and seem like you can screw of that part, but im not sure??? anyone knows? if i need to get another headlight housing......does anyone know where i can get it for cheap?? i need the right side headlight? anyone selling it

 

A used headlamp might run you at least $200 at your local auto salvage if you are lucky. If I were you , I would print out a list and start calling around to see if they a lamp that is broken and maybe you could get the clip from that one.

 

Are we talking headlights or blinkers here?

 

That's pretty much the same stuff that happened to me.

Those damn lights aren't held in there by much and that clip is bound to break.

 

Same thing happen over here as well. While removing the clip, as instructed by the manual, the plastic housing snapped at lips where the clip was held. Luckly, the way the plastic housing broke I was able to utilize a small metal washer to secure the clip back in place.

 

The passenger side looks easy enough to replace, but for the driver's side, do you have to take out the whole assembly to get to the bulb? And has anyone left the yellow condom over the fog lights and put Xenon H4's in the headlights? How did the two different colors look? How do you think it would look if you left the yellow part on, and put Xenon H3C's in, does anyone know?

 

Ok, I hate to reply to my own post, but I put my Xenon H4's in, I didnt realize the coolant overflow and the other thing just slide out.
