Headers

Do any of you actually use headers? I kinda want a set but I'm curious as to how the car will perform.Like I may lose bottom end power...good midrange and high RPM power but...In Japan we need big torque due to traffic and bunch of stop and goes.If I do get headers, should I do the whole exhaust system? And I asked when I first joined(NOBODY REPLIED!!!!) but I have another air-filter box looking thing attached to my stock intake pipe, between the radiator and intake pipe.Anybody know what this is? Can I remove it so I can install a cold-air or short ram intake?

That box is called a resonator, it reduces noise on acceleration. Enthusiasts such as myself often removed those, it makes the car sound much better when push down hard on the gas pedal.

As for headers.. do you have a 2.5 or 3.2 engine?

Oh yeah, mine is a 3.2....and this resonator, there are like 2 hoses coming out leading to the throtte body area. When I get an intake kit specifically for my car,I just connect them to the "nipples" on the intake pipe?

Yes.

I assume you have traction control?

When you purchase your intake, make sure of this. There are intakes meant for TCS equipped models specifically.

OK, just making sure

Any intake meant for a '91 - '95 Legend WITHOUT traction control will work.
