If you read the first two, go straight to the 3rd paragraph for update

Has this happend to any of you?
I was driving when i noticed that the heat was damn near the red. so i pulled over waited a while then kept driving. stop and go till i got to a store, picked up some antifreeze premix stuff, opend the rad (it has a new cap) and poured half the thing in there. then noticed that the other reservior thing was full with hot antifreeze. poured some out. the temperature went right down, and stayed there. so after it cooled down i poured more antifreeze in the rad, and had to empty some again from the reservior thingy. i repeat this process every day on cold starts, it hasent been over heating but im loosing fluid. I just bought the car 4 months ago, took it to a mechanic before and it was in great shape. He spent 2 hours looking at it and found only a bit of oil in between the tranny and engine but said that it wanst a major deal and some people drive with that for years and years... so its a v6 3.2 and i have about 210k on it. any ideas? thanks

NOW, FOR THE UPDATE
I had my radiator and my thermostat changed. Seemend ok, The next day I only had to add a little more antifreeze. Then it started to do it again, heat goes up, to about inbetween 1/2 and 3/4 of the way. Now yesterday i had to add a bunch more antifreeze and noticed that my overflow tank was full. I let some air out of the system, and im just about to check on it again. The people i got the car from said its not the headgasket, The antifreeze is a normal color and so is the exhaust, no leaks from exhaust eather. I decited to take it to Honda, but i wont be able to get in till next week. Those guys might know better then some joe blow mechanic. Any ideas in the mean time?

A NEW NEW UPDATE and hopefully the last one
The mechanic spent 540 bux of my money on crack! After some "discussion" about the price, he gave me a "better deal" 620 he wanted at first. Then just cut the tax out, and no receipt. The car was fine, until i got home that is! Started going all nutty again, overheating worse then before. So i went back, then he asks "what kind of antifreeze did you put in?" well, it had the green stuff, but one time it overheated and i had to buy the pink kind because that’s the only kind of antifreeze chevron has . They said it wont make a difference, its fine. Then the mechanic goes, "geeeeez, you cant mix those!" Im like WTF, he charged me for toping it up too! And im thinking how the F did you not notice the color of the fluid??????? Its definitely not green! Its more or an oil color. I guess hes color blind. I realize i did it too, but i dont go around charging people 60/h pretending im a mechanic. Then he says, you need a flush. OK do it. After all this he has the nerve to say its gona cost me 60 bux! At that point I just lost my mind for a few minutes, said a few things and im sure he got the gist of it. Took off to MR. Lube, they charged me 100inc tax. And i was happy with the service. Read the paper, had some coffee... and they were nice. So i was hoping that would solve my problem, WRONG again. So the next day i took it to a BCAA recommended shop, its called GOOD YEAR. They figured out that the Radiator Cap does not hold enough pressure!!!!!!! its supposed to be at 15 and its at 14! pffft All this, for a $25 cap! Geeeez! Now the thing is, the day i bought the car, It was acting a bit funny, and we waited for the parts guy to deliver the new rad cap. It was brand new, for my car! I guess i got one made on Monday. Now i wonder what kind of damage that did to my car. And I need to go back to the Crackhead mechanic and see if I can get a receipt out of him, so I can take that to the dealership.

I watched them put a new rad cap on the day i bought the car. It was totally fine for a while, thats the wierd thing. Then it started to release pressure into the overfrow tank. then i started leaking from the rad.

The thermostat is new, and has been double checked. The hengine was tested, and the headgasket is fine. The last place i took it too, perssure tested the rad cap, they say thats the only thing they can find. The rad is brand new. Never checked the waterpump, ill have to check that if it still doesnt work :S
