Hanabi HID buy

ok Im gonna go ahead and post this, considering the fact that its a small group buy and its from Ron, I dont think admins should have a problem with it. consider me scolded if they do

give a shout if you are interested in joining up for 6000k HID kits made by Hanabi- read this thread- http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=43121

also give a target date when you will be ready to purchase
( I know I need a week or two at least, Im poor right now)

this seems like a good price to me, if anyone can beat it let us know

well regardless of which kit we go with, lets get a tally going of heads that are at least interested- I got five, which is enough for at least the 500 dollar hanabi kit from Ron, which James (962.5TL) said is worth it, and Dope.

I just installed my HID's last night. Damn....its so much brighter then the PIAA bulbs. It was biatch finding room for the ballasts but i managed to find room for it. For those who are still thinking about buying bulbs instead of real HID's, you guys should just save up. If you buy like PIAA's they'll die on you withing a year. If you pay like 75 for each set, it'll just add up on you. Might as well just save up for HIDs.

i found that the easiest place to mount the ballasts and ignitors is to take the bumper cover off and if your looking and the side of the car look at the corner part of the headlight and below that if a big metal space, i had enough room for 2 ballasts and ignitors on each side

nahhhhh, she got cheap aftermarket Bulbs man!!! they draw mad electricity to burn bright, more than the wires are made for, and melt them.. These are Bonafide H.I.D, they arent just bulbs, they have ballasts and ignite... its a different reaction goin on inside the bulb, I think they use the same or less wattage as stock bulbs...I dont think HID's are capable of melting our headlight housing

hid lamps are only 35w but they give you two times the lumens of a 55w halogen lamp. Unlike halogen lamps that use a filament and provides resistance to electricity to produce light ....hid lamps use xenon gas which allows an arch or electricity to be created and produces light........this may not be 100% accurate but its my attempt to explain how it works.

962.5TL's got some pics. I have 4 6000K's in my car and they're very purple. Dont be worried about them not looking nice because trust me, they do. And yes its very easy to install them.

6000K is the number of “Kelvin”. There are 4300K bulbs, 6000K, even 8000K. The higher the Kelvin, the more purple in color they will appear. Most stock HIDs are 4300K except BMW which are 5400K. Hence the bluish color (take the new M5 for example). Usually the higher the Kelvin, the less light output. The floor pattern is a little dimmer with my 6000K bulbs than it used to be with my 4300K’s. So when you see “6000K HID kit” or “8000K HID kit”, you’ll know what it means. A “ballast” is one of the units used to ignite the bulbs. They are gonna be 2 units for each bulbs. A ballast and an ignitor. The ballast can be mounted behind the bumper with 2-way tape, and the ignitors are small so you can leave those directly behind the headlights. What I mean by saying I have 4 6000K’s in my car is that I have 2 HID kits. One for the headlights, and one for the Hella HID projectors I installed in the factory headlight projector foglight. Let me know if you need more help. I love HID’s.

They last a very long time. Dont worry about that. I think 2500-3000 hours? You're lucky if you get 500 hours out of superwhites. Maybe 900 out of stock halogens.
