goodbye tl....

welp its official... the tl is not mine no mo! got me a 02 lexus es300. it makes the 1st and second gen tls look stupid IMO. it shifts SO FRIGGIN SMOOTH!! the interior is nice and big... the leather is REAL FEELING AND SOFT AS A BABYS ASS!!! the wood is nice and dark and looks real (maybe cause it is!!!) it has 56,000 miles on it, the leather is starting the little line wear marks (gettng that taken car of), and thats about it. it tells me im averaging 18.9 around town and 31 on the highway.... im in love....

Arse... Hehe, glad you like the new car, though. Just remember, my leather is still soft... on the rear bench, at least, hehe. My driver's isn't to shabby either! It's still very supportive after the 216,888 miles that somebody's butt has been in it.

~Cheers~

I love the seats on the ES, its so comfy. I do not like the shift knob as much though. The suspension seems a bit too soft but is extremly comfy also

I hate to be a critic but I don't see how you could take the looks of a dressed up Camry over any TL. I'm sure it is a well updated vehicle from your previous though. I'm sure you'll treat it well.

lol... dud i loved the TL! if i could of... i woulda kept it! no doubt! i just think the first gen is alittle out dated. def a secure safe and reliable ride tho. now that im in this lex tho.... i cant even imagine the tranny in the TL. shifting was SUPER hard. thats my only complaint. other than that... TL's are on my list of favorites

Sorry Copy252,

I gotta agree that the ES300 is just a more luxurious version of a Camry. The Interior is nice but I'm not feelin tha exterior at all. The bodystyle is not that pleasing to the eye, but you purchased it and it must please you so that's all that matters.

Good luck with it, but if I were u and was gonna upgrade to a Lexus, I would've gotten tha new IS 350. Now that's tha shite

i think the es300 is a big step from a 10 yr old tl. its got everything id want in a car. im not a speed freak so it suits me fine with the pick up. i think the exterior is just luxery man. im not into sport so i think its great!

There are days when I would prefer a highway floater like that Lexus over my 3G TL. Honest. The only problem is they look like Japanese Buicks.

idk, that styling was pretty dope for the 80's..and if ure refferin to 2nd gen TL's i gotta disagree- but u seem to be more into the luxury look, and apparently we all are sport-luxury kinda guys..

yeah i like the 3g tl over a es300. matter a fact, with in the next three years, a 3g will prolly be my next car! i WILL NEVER RECOMMEND a 2g tl or say i like it for anything. i think it looks stupid IMO. i wanted one for a while but then after reading and nit picking it, i wanted to slap myself. not only are the trannys crap, from what i gather, but they just dont look right to me. i think its the tail that does it. 3g is the ish tho! i think its the little luxery things that got me in this car tho. the auto rain sensing wipers, the auto lights, stock HIDS, in dash 6 cd changer with the smart station text crap, traction control and some other type of traction thing lexus has, i mean it even has an auto rear window shade! the price was WELL BELOW what any book says so i went for it. only thing is the roof looks like it sat under a acorn tree. . 150 to fix so aint that bad
