Question Ghoasting on debadging

I'm having a serious issue trying to debadge my car. I have the big chunk of adhesive behind both emblembs. I started removing it behind "3.2" but not "Tl". I couldn't remove the small bit of adhesive behind it regardless of what I used ,3m, denatured alchool, goo gone, none of it would work. Anyone have any suggestions?

I used bug and tar remover.. Try and use a heat gun or blow dryer to warm it up and it will come off easier.

you need to heat up the adhesive so that it softens.. then you will be able to peel it off easier...

After you use all of that goo gone shit to take off the adhesive, get some Nu Finish Scratch Doctor.... it comes in an orange tube. I used this to get rid of the haze / ghost marks and it works.

I did the same and the haze is still there. I think it's because it's easier to see on my darker MBP. I am going out to wash it now and will pick up some Nu Finish Scratch to use after the wash. Hopefully, it will work and get out some other scratches that I have too.

My ghost is actually etched into the paint, hehe. No amount of Goo Gone or scrubbing will get that out, hehe.

~Cheers~

Most likely at any hardware store, or Sears.

I used to work at a "custom" car shop and I would use it all the time to de-badge customer's cars.

they're usually called "eraser pads". i can't find one online

I used a heat gun, and ppg acryl clean wax and grease remover. Then ppg final step.

I then decided 2 days later the acura emblem was tacky also so i welded the holes in and repainted the deck lid.

the end result

much cleaner than tacky gold shit all over the place. I also painted that chrome ring around the plate as well. The chrome shit around the rear window peels right off then you hit it with paint thinner and the trim around the rear glass is black instead of chrome. My next step is either wrapping the side window trim chrome shit with satin finish vynal or taking it apart and powdercoating it.. I hate chrome garbage. If i wanted it id buy chrome fender trim and curb feelers.
