Gasoline- what kind and its worth.
I've always known that our cars require premium gas... But I've been putting regular in it since I've had it (a bit over a year now). I've never had any problems with power or performance so I never saw a reason to use premium.
Is it worth putting in premium and if so, why? (ie, do I get better gas mileage, more power, etc.)

Why? Higher compression engines require higher octane gas. If you put in regular, the engine changes the spark timing a bit so that you have reduced power. This is done to prevent the gas from exploding prematurely. Higher octane gas has a higher resistance to detonation.

Oh yeah, our cars have knock sensors. But they can only stop it once knock has already happened.
Premium grade gasoline typically has more detergents because its a company's flagship product.

I fill my tank with the 89, then when it's time to fill it again I go with the 91. The thing is that when I fill it with the 89 it seems to get better gas mileage compare to the 91 which gets slightly less, but its preformance improves. So either way, it's a win win situation!
