Funky Shifting

lately i have been getting this very weried response with my TL there is 2 problems. the first being sometimes when i take off from a dead stop just at a normal take off speed my rpm's will shoot from like 3,000 all the way up to like 4.5 K almost like im smashing it and then just shift up to second gear. and sometiems when im in second gear it does the same same thing and shifts up to third. think a simple tranny flush should do the job or is my tranny messed up i dont know sorry this description of my problems kinda sucks but its kind of hard to explain. Thankz in advance

if ur motor just revvs up from 3 to 4 , and car doesnt feel like it is accelerating, it sounds like the tranny is slipping. When was the last time u flushed or had maintenance done on ur tranny? If not for a long time, i would recommend a tranny flush. Either way, should definitely look into it if the problem presist. Slipping tranny would only get worse if it is the case. I hope i am wrong. good luck, and keep us posted.

Here is a previous post on the subject of flushing your tranny along with steps. It's a pretty easy DIY as I've done it a few times myself on my car.

Hope that helps,
