too lazy to take pics right now but lemme explain.
my mother bought the car in 96 with 8k miles on it from a dealer, apparently the person had gotten into countless fender-benders and messed up the bumpers pretty bad (cracks dents and so on) the dealership used steel-adhesive compound to smooth the bumper and painted over it, which made it look like new.
unfortunately according to the 6 body shops i've been to this is all that can be done for the car again and again because it the compounding is very very weak and crumbles off after a few years...
so my options today were:
get the thing compounded for 300 bucks but have it fall apart if i get into even the slightest accident, and if i avoid accidents will degrate after a few years anyway.
get aftermarket body kit for 500-700 but they are weak too.
find a junk yard with bumpers (that failed i checked 5 yards)
but now i found the bumpers on acuraoemparts.com for a total of 700 bucks
hence i'm no longer in need of assistance unless someone can find me mint bumpers for cheaper

My cars (touchwood) paintjob is ok all around except the fron and back bumpers. Any idea how mcuh it would cost to repaint the front and back bumpers. Will the paint match? I have the champaign silver color exterior.

Pricing depends on the quality of the materials used and the reputation of the shop. Try to use DuPont paints and a shop that is well known for quality work if you want a decent job. Metalic paints are, in my opinion, almost impossible to color match, which is why I own a dark green car and not a silver one.
I recently had my front and back bumpers repainted (with a small amount of repair work) for something like $500.00 if I remember correctly.
