Foglights question

After reading a couple of posts I want to take out my yellow tint foglights. Why.... because, I want to put in H.I.D.s. My question is... is 3,000 Kelvin really yellow enough to look like the Acura yellow tint. Reason i am asking such an elementary question is that I bought my TL 12,000 Kelvin H.I.D.s (illegal in my state) and it's soppose to be purple, but look nothing like purple. Instead, it looks super white with a tade of blue. I want to take out the yellow lens because, the owner before me only had one working fog light and it somewhat bleach it light yellow while the other that hasn't had one in over 4 year look dark yellow. besides... i believe it would be brighter.

It looks lighter yellow because the fog condom is cracked. Take it out and you'll see that I'm right.

The reason your "purple" HIDs look nothing like they're supposed to is because they're cheap. Chances are, when you get the yellow HIDs, they'll be greenish, again because of the low quality equipment.

~Cheers~

I'll check out the lens to see if it is cracked. Yeah... You're right... the HIDs were cheap... LOL. But, the ladies don't know that... LOL.

I removed the yellow tint and purchased Nokya H3 bulbs. No complaints here.

That mod will fail. Mine failed on me. How long have you had these bulbs? Don't be surprised if they fail you soon. H3c bulbs FTW!
