Foglight questions.

Ok, I've taken off my fog yellow light condoms and now, I want to do some more tweeking with them.

First of all, I want new bulbs... the stock ones look very nasty and yellowish next to my blue xenons. I asked this before and I think someone said that our 1st gen TLs use H3C bulbs and that foglights could only be yellow or white... but I can't find any H3C bulbs. I've only found some hyper white H3 bulbs, will those work (the article mentions the bulbs are for both foglights and headlights)? I don't know what the wire is there for though...

Secondly, is it possible to have the foglights on without having the headlights on? I think it requires some rewiring, right? Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

You need to just get the H3 bulbs and ground the wire, look for a post on how to make h3 work with the h3c harness

Thanks. The search function seem to only bring up my thread... guess I'll have to look for it the old fashioned way.

I'm really sorry to double post, but I don't think that the post is archived anymore. I can't seem to find it.

Did anyone save those instructions?

ask a moderator. I cant remeber exactly but seems you just plug it in, and the wire just goes into the ground socket???

or you could just search on Ebay for H3C's. I got a pair for like 30 bucks shipped. I still have the yellow condom on my car though, its a white pearl, and I dont know, I love the Acura yellow fog's for some reason...I may change my mind, who knows. Check the link below...

yeah i converted my h3c to h3s and honestly i would just stick with the h3cs and keep it stock because it's alot of hassle and it'll give you problems later. i regret switching my fog lights to h3...i mean granted you can get any color h.i.d. bulbs but the fog light will never truly match the headlight bulb because the fog lights are more concentrated light which means that the color will always be darker than the headlights....

i purchased piaa the h.i.d. spark blue bulbs (h4s and h3) and the fog light was a deep blue color while the headlight was a bluish/purplish/yellowish tint. it kinda looked weird... i didn't like it....! so i put back the yellow condoms and installed regular h3 bulbs ...in my opinion i like the yellow light!! i did all that work for nothing...should have just kept it stock!!

plus if you have it where just the fog lights come on.... you can have it like running daytime lights.... and we're like the only cars with the running daytime lights that are yellow!! it looks cool...maybe because my car is a dark green?? yellow and green combo??? i personally i like the yellow fogs...

Thanks. I'm planning on sticking with H3c as I've actually found some on eBay.

I still need to know how to seperate the foglights from the headlights.
