Flat Tire Help..

Is there any special way to take off our tires? I've got all 5 lug nuts off and the car is jacked up with space under the tire, but the tire will not come off. I feel like a total dumba$$ asking for a suggestion here, but i'm exhausted. Help!

I searched for this and surprisingly couldn't find any mention of this. I don't have my Owner's Manual so I'm not sure what, if any, special tricks there are to do this

take a rubber mallet and hit the tire... it is usually due to the fact that the wheel has been sitting on the hub for so long with the temps changing around the wheel that it is stuck/rusted on a little... don't be afraid to use a little muscle to get it off... usually i take the spare tire and hit the wheel with it...

Kam, you called it. I rolled my spare into the tire as hard as i could and it must have loosened something...it came off with a nice hard tug. Thanks!

I remember when mine was stuck right after we got the car. we had to hammer it, kick it, spray wd-40 on it, and it finally came off after my dad and I kicked it hard enough. that was fun :P

I can identify with the OP: first time that happened to me, I was like WTF: I had taken all the lugs off and the wheel wouldn't budge. Some tricks that help:

1. Penetrating oil - recommend some stuff called "PB Blaster" that works real well. Spray it on the lugs, and anywhere necessary and it should help.
2. Loosen all the lug nuts 1/4 of a way, and then jack the car up, and lower it down. This can dislodge the wheel. Jack up the car, and take wheel off.
3. My personal favorite: Kick the living piss outta the wheel. I mean, KICK the SHIT outta it.

I swear, the wheels on my beater accord must have never been taken off, because by the time I got to it 110k miles, and 10 years later, it toom a combo of 1,2, and 3 to get the passenger front wheel off.
