Fail safe switch? (cant start)

Hello my Acura Tl 2.5 1996 is not starting up I thought it was the battery but the battery is fully charged and gives power to the car. The issue is that when I turn the ignition key to on the interment lights and radio all turn on fine like normal. but when I try to start the car itself it cranks once and then all power is lost. if I turn off the car and try and turn it back on there is no power no lights turn on and jump starting wont work. I don't get power back till i remove the positive clap on the battery and reattach it to the battery after that I get power back to everything again. But like before if I turn the key and try to start the car I lose all power and I wont get power back till I disconnect the battery and reconnect it again. I feel its some kind of fail safe switch. I even enter the code on the radio and still same problems no start.

That can happen when the positive battery cable goes bad. It internally gets corrosion, after you move it it will come back to life. It can flow enough electricity to have lights on inside the car, but the amperage required by the starter shuts it down.
