Im getting a system in my TL very soon, but I dont have the money right now for an aftermarket alarm. The only thing Im really worried about is someone popping my trunk and ripping off my sub + amp. Will the factory alarm protect against the trunk being opened when it is set? Or am I just gonna hafta sack up and get an aftermarket alarm now?

 

aftermarket alarm is your best bet but that isn't going to be 100% "theft free." do you ever use your key to lock the trunk where the lever is (the lever for the trunk and gas cap). also, do you lock the ski slot in the back seat?

No i never lock them....I didnt even think to start doin that. From now on Ill lock both, until the funds for the Viper come along. Thanks for the tip.
