For awhile, I've been wanting to get this muffler for my 2.5TL, but Im buying parts for my other project. Its a nice looking muffler thats direct bolt, its made by Toucan. Its about $241.00
Heres the link.
Toucan direct bolt muffler

Other than that, everything has got to be custom made.
If you do get it, give us a review on the product.
Goodluck.

Oh yeah, I think its also compatible with the 3.2TL too.

Yup, like TLBaller said, FUJITSUBO "SEDALIS" .Its for the 3.2L

They are about $700.00 not cheap. Plus S&H to U.S. may come out to $800~$900.

Ouch, yeah I would rather do HIDs than spend that much, Im pretty much just looking for something to replace the factory muffler and pipes to the cat...

I'm going to head down to the local muffler shop and ask what kind of custom stuff they could make for me. Ill let everyone know

It's hard to find full systems for the 1st Gen TL. But you can choose from 100's of universal mufflers.

fujitsubo sedalis only comes in square tips for the ua3/ua2. I heard how it sounds from a clip of fujitsubo's website long time ago. its sounds really deep...deep tone.

I can't understand why anyone would want to put an aftermarket exhaust on an AUTOMATIC car?

You make a good point but c'mon......an aftermarket exhaust on an Automatic vehicle? I mean my vigor is 5spd and I got a nice Magnaflow exhaust on it and it scares tha shit out of people in the other lanes not because its loud but because the way the car sounds when I rev it, but to put a good exhaust system like Magnaflow, Remus, Greddy on an automatic TL would be a travesty.

Just my .0.02 cents.

no... but the exhaust came with rear silencers.

here a product description:

This system features 100% polished Stainless Steel construction, and a rear silencer with 2 round 3.3" Edition Design tips.

I put exhaust on all the cars I drive. But lately, since I got the Saber, I like the silent running....Stealthy. Billet-Japan has an exhaust, polished SUS by XAXAN AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS. They are supposedly mofe quiet than stock...sounds weird eh?

A Local exhaust shop will install for me a Magnaflow muffler with 2 magnaflow chrome tips and labor all for 235.00

it includes a coupler for the engine side of the muffler so i can convert to a cat-back later is i want to. the cat-back system at the shop was 360, but i just a muffler. Can't beat 235 for a Magnaflow system!

Automatic cars have engines too... They also have exhaust pipes that empty the exhaust from the engine to the rear of the car... Those exhaust pipes can be upgraded on an Automatc car just like a manual car. There are plenty of reasons why someone would put exhaust on an automatic car...

Too many people are closed minded about automatics. It's just a transmission... and after all this post is about "exhaust", which as I mentioned before, automatics have exhaust systems too, just like manuals.

If you're putting an exhaust on your 96-98 TL to make it faster and street race, then yes, it's stupid. Our cars are heavy, and aren't really meant for racing.

But almost any aftermarket exhaust looks better on our cars than stock, and if you have an extra 300 dollars, why not? most systems will allow more horsepower, but i agree, it's mostly for looks. Automatics are fast too, sometimes.

The new Volkswagen/Audi DSG transmission shifts .7 seconds faster than a human can, theoretically making the car faster than the manual version. automatics can be faster than manuals, but on our TLs, go for looks, not speed
