i like the dual tip. that's what i had on mine. but i DESPISE (an no offense!) the kind of exhaust that bend up at the end. what the hell is that all about anyways? but between the two.....the dual look good.

here is a pic of mine with the dual:

the one on my car is magnaflow. for the looks, it's good. but for sound.....it isn't very good. not recommended unless you have the stock pipes. anything more will make it loud like mine eventually got but the stainless steel look is priceless

pretty sure mine was the 14816 model. and yeah, don't change the tubing. they put a new pipe from the cat back on mine....without the resonator. holy damn, i couldn't hear myself talk when i was at 2000 rpm. then i had them put the res back on (they found it in the garbarge AND charged me to reinstall it) and it made it much more barable. i'm thinking if you keep the stock pipe it might even be better. it's just that with a straight through design....the only good the insulation does in the muffler is make it so it doesn't rattle. ugh! but good luck.....you're right, it does look good. just be careful!

i am very reluctant because i love the quiet of the car.. even tho i am thirsty for power and performance, i don't want to sacrafice driving around ... would anyone happen to know how long an OEM resonator is??? maybe if i get a bigger aftermarket free flowing resonator

going with one of the mufflers listed on this thread i would suggest a very long resonator. even then you are probably going to get a much louder tone, although it wont be nearly as raspy. dont go bigger than you need on the pipe diameter as well.

you don't want to go big on the flow. in fact, if you lose back pressure, you can hinder performance. i think that was happening to my car a bit. and trust me.....after a few months it's not too bad, but after a year.....the loud hum if you're not into it anymore will drive you insane!

If you are changing the muffler for performance gains, don't bother. If you want it for looks, cool, but beware that it is going to be loud. I went through 2 different mufflers, before going back to a stock-spec axle-back that actually has a little bit of a tone to it. I like the stock just soo much better.
