exhaust = completed :)

well, it's done. first thoughts (since i've driven it maybe 2 miles):

1. it's louder than i thought it'd be

2. but even though it's louder, it's not rice whiney....i like that

3. it's fairly even sounding up to about 4k rmp, then it seems to thin out a little

4. the muffler looks 10x better than the stock one....i'm more than pleased with that

5. the idle sound is soothing, not annoying

6. at acceleration, the sound is more towards that of a v6 then a 4 cylinder.

so overall, so far, in the first hour of doneness (word?), i'm happy with it. cost me 150 bux to have it put on, so a total of $290 when it's all said and done. much better than the $425 i was quoted the first time around. it was worth the wait to order the muffler online. i'll try to get a sound file for a download if any are interested. i'll take pics later on today and put them up of what it looks like from the rear.

haha, i knew i'd catch some grief for doing no pics, but i wanted to get it out before i even had the camera handy. ok, so now i have pics:

and then this is what the new pipe looks like....you can see most of to the cat:

so that's that. all opinions/expressions/etc. are welcome. you can be brutally honest with me about it, i'm fine. i enjoy constructive criticism. i'm still gonna try to get a sound file on here for y'all. just not sure i have anything that can catch anything with decent quality.

funny you should ask, because for some reason everyone in the city picked today to drive. i haven't had a chance to get on it except in a parking lot for 2 seconds. tonite i will try to see if it has more get up and go. plus take it on the interstate to see what it sounds like.

thank you so it turns out that it's a bit loud heh. go figure. so if i'm not satisfied with how it sounds...as per get used to it, etc...see if it tones down, then i'm gonna see what can be done. it's not horrible, so that's why i'm teetering (sp?) on what i shall do next.

Any more shots of it? From the ones you posted it looks like it sticks out a little far and hangs a ltitle far down, but looks nice.

That's exactly what I was thinking...

Also, I think that's the stupidest looking exhaust system I've ever seen!

Just kidding.

It looks great! Very clean and I love how it looks like a big a$$, duel barrel shotgun.

I am interested in a sound file, if you can get one up.

well i'm gonna call em tomorrow and see what they can do. i went for a psuedo-long trip today, and it was bad. too much of a loud hum. after 3500 rpm it sounds super good...like higher rpms makes it sound very strong, but then back to the hum. they threw my resonator away, so i don't really wanna buy another one, so maybe if i bitch, i can get them to cut me a deal.

well they still have my old resonator...so that's going back on this week. i sure hope it helps....it's just too loud the way it is now. it's one of those things that's cool for a little while, then just becomes a psuedo-annoyance.

k, feel like i'm talkin to myself here :P but anyways...i got my resonator put back on, and although i didn't get a chance to get any sound files before, i got some now...well kinda. the only way i knew how to get em was with my camera, and so i'm just gonna post the vids. i couldn't figure out how to rip the audio. and using my mic to record from speakers makes it sound like crap. so here are the links....i hope you enjoy (btw....please don't mind the broken beretta in the background )

at idle

revving

I think i know why I can get away without a resonator on my car, I still have the stock muffler (which is heavily baffled)
