My car needs new tires soon. I want to know which tires you are all using and it you like some specific tires, post what brand they are and if they are winter tires or all season or high performance?

Toyo Ultra 800's... GREAT highway tires

Pirelli P-Zero Nero. They grip pretty well and have a nice tread life. I've gone 20k on them so far which is very good for a low-pro tire and they still look like they're good for another 10k.

I've Bridgestone Potenzas - they came with the car when I bought it. They are decent - nothing remarkable about them. I do get crappy gas mileage though, Birmingham being a hilly city, I guess that must be contributing to it. I maintain the Acura recommended 30psi in the front tires and 29 in the back. I did notice that most of the guys in this forum maintain about 34psi. What is a good pressure to maintain? Am I getting bad mileage because of the tire pressure?
I know Ken gets amazing mpg, what pressure do you maintain Ken?

33 to 35 psi..
Keep in mind that my MPG numbers are mostly because of my tires. They are low rolling resistance tires, highway tires basically.

Thanks Ken, I'll keep mine at 33psi and see if it makes a difference - do low rolling resistance tires make a significant difference in the way the car handles? Most of my driving is city driving - though I won't be changing the tires for at least the next 15-20K miles, it's always good to know.

Mine handle predictibly, but they are NOT sporty tires.. they are comfortable high mileage tires with low road noise. GREAT for straight roads.

Toyo Proxes 4, well two now because LES SCHWABB SUCKS. Two are "LES SCHWABB sucks" brand. Soon I'll post why les schwabb sucks. But for now I would like to dream of taking my baseball bat down there to reason with them.

Michelin Pilot Sport 225/45/17 UHP, Sticky as hell, not as great in the rain.
Toyo Proxes 4 225/40/18 UHPAS, Haven't put them on yet, but supposedly great all season tires.

I just put my Inspyres on yesterday with 225/40/18 Kumho ASX tires and they do not rub at all. Full lock, bumps, dips, no rub. Ride is very comfy as well. Still on stock springs btw.
