I just picked up my ride from the dealership. Turns out, the EGR ports were clogged. I knew this before I took it there thanks to this forum. The egr warranty extension is well worth it. They unclogged the ports and I can already feel the difference when I mash on the gas!! The extension also includes an oil change, new spark plugs and distributor cap, and a free car wash. Just letting you all know that if you haven't had this done yet, you better make your appointments now(If your CEL is lit and you have less than 150,000 miles). The service advisor also recommended a timing belt replacement but they are too overpriced for me at $665 a pop. Does anyone from Houston TX know a good place to replace my timing belt? Thanks to everyone in advance.

 

i think ii paid around 500 or so for the timing belt AND the other belts. i feel a big difference! which part of town are you from

i am actually in missouri city. i got it done on chimney rock by my dads friend. vietnamese people who do quality work. i left my car there for about a week though, thats the downside. i also got my tranny flush there too and you might want to do that as well. it makes a difference! tranny flush was also included in the price i paid. the place is called TOB or something. ill get you the phone number later.
