I dont like the way the way my cluster looks, its too dim. I know there a 5 wedge bulbs that light up the cluster. The only thing I'm worried about is if the superwhite bulbs would melt anything inside from the heat. What do you guys think?

They are normal wedge bulbs like our headlight corners. There are 5 of them. I think I'm gonna do it this weekend. I tested it and put 1 superwhite bulb in there, it doesnt really look white, just alot brighter. I even took a pic of the bulb from my cluster for you.

i thought you meant the lighting for the speedometer and stuff. cause we took that out and it was the tiny 1.14 volt ones not the wedge ones. where are the wedge bulbs located? i wouldn't mind changing my lights even if it's only making them brigher, hehe i'm blind, my head unit puts off too much light!!!

Those ARE the bulbs that light up the speedometer, RPM, gas and temp gauges. The small bulbs light up the small squares for D1, D2, D3, D4, Gas light, SRS, ABS, TCS, so on. Those small bulbs wouldn't give off enough light. Heres a pic showing where the bulbs are. They are circled in blue.

I don't think the heat is an issue as long as those super white bulbs are rated at the same wattage. Isn't it the same thing with HID knockoff headlight bulbs? They do not produce any more light than factory ones.
I read about alot of guys doing the same project on H-A.net. Good luck and post some pics!
