i know what all the lights mean on the dash board. but what does it mean when a light is on when the key is in I position and what does it mean if its in II position.
and what does it mean if its lights up and then turns off.

When the ignition key is turned to the 1st position, that's the Accessory position. Which means it turns your radio and power outlet on. No lights on the dash will light up. When the ignition key is in the 2nd position, that's the On position. Lots of dummy lights will turn on to do a bulb check. If one of the lights won't turn on, that means the light is burnt out and require to replace (i.e., the tranny D4 light).

since you mentioned the D4 light, where is that old thread that explained how to fix that light. i couldn't find it anywhere and my D4 light goes off and on.
