Damn...

Guys as much as I love this car.

IT'S TOO SLOW.
lol and I can definitely not afford to make it any faster.

I want a stick car... since I'm in love with Acura's... The CL seems a little heavy.
Don't think I sold out or anything... but I want an Integra... GSR or Type-R. I always wondered why this website never featured a forum for them, I want to get some feedback on it and I'm too lazy to going to through the strenous task of typing integra on google. heh. just kidding.

anyone know anything i should know about these cars? Besides the fact they are dirt cheap for some reason...

I owned a integra type r engine it was fast naturally aspirated but became a monster under boost. I used to redline the pup at 9200 rpm. I used to eat m3's for breakfast. and yeah there is alot of parts for them.

Insurance is high, especially if you have a type-r...they get stolen quite a bit, as do the GSRs

You want something fast, and stick, why not RWD?

Integra's are probably cheap just because of the crazy amount of them produced. I would watch out for teenagers selling them though, or adults with teenagers, they seem to get constantly beat on.

There isn't any Integra section here because (IIRC) when AZ started up, there was already a well established and popular site for Integras, and AZ didn't want to interfere with it.

I'll second the insurance thing, my friend has an integra, and i don't remember the exact number, but it is significantly more than it is for the TL. He's just got a base model too.

why not get an RSX Type-S? also...the reason why AcuraZine dosn't have any RSX.....INTEGRA....MDX forums...is not just because there are well established sites for that specific car as UnsanePyro said...but cause they want to keep the teens on this forum to a minimum....

Not so much teens, there are plenty here

We want to keep out the idiotic tools who tend to be on RSX/Integra forums.

The MDX forums have an agreement with Soopa, who owns this place.

I got the 2.5 and all my friends practically rape in getting anywhere me and I always back myself up with having the luxury car lol...
Yeah, it might be conformity but who gives a shit... it's just the fact that my car is slower than a 120 horespower Del Sol that pisses me off. and the shittiest of shit Civic DX, and shit, the other day I raced a nissan quest 1995 for shits and giggles
and LOST. Made me feel fabulous.

RSX Type-S is nice... but it feels like only girls drive RSX's for some reason. I love that car but it's not worth the price right now since it's going to flop down in price just like the integra soon...

RWD cars are rare, at least as far as I know. Plus RWD is a nice kick in the ass for insurance... I hate settling for American car's unless it was the new Pontiac GTO.
I was thinking something along the lines of a MR 2, but these cars are too damn old.
Integra just fits the spectrum because its a luxury sporty car thats cheap and new, of course I would put so much security on the car.

I just bought a 2003 CL Type S, talk about fast. RSX S is also very nice, my bro use to have one, and I see more guys driving those then girls, but sure a few girls own them. Lot of nice choices out there.

Not to sound rude, but is your car running right and at it's full potential? Doesn't sound it from what your saying.

I wouldn't exactly call an Integra luxury either.

I second everyone's comments. RSX's are guys and girls cars, but to separate them the Type-S is usually driven by guys like Mike said. Also, UnsanePyro is right...is your car running ok? Are you putting in premium when you get gas?

The #'s don't really add up here:

2.5TL:
0-60: 8.8 sec.
5-cyl.
Weight: 3282 lbs
Horsepower: 176 hp
Torque: 170 ft-lbs.

Nissan Quest:
6-cyl
Weight: 3876 lbs
Horsepower: 151 hp
Torque: 174 ft-lbs.

Shouldn't have lost to a quest..

Civic DX does 0-60 in 8.6 sec, so depending on your reaction times, ect, you shouldn't have gotten beat by more than a foot or two.

I have a 2.5 and I doesn't feel slow to me. One of my friends have a 04 3.5 RL and another has a 97 Maxima. And those cars don't start to pull on me till after 60, even then it's not like they rape me.

Don't worry man it's not rude lol, Yeah, I put in premium... I baby the hell of this car.
Well yeah I was just fooling around, RSX is mostly driven by guys, at least S-type is.
regardless... I wish I were lying to you. there's absolutely nothing wrong with my car other the fact that it might be old... and it's just not pulling like it might have used to.
I'm talking about a stick dx, by the time I rev up to 7000 rpm and switch to second, he's really in 3rd and probably more than a car's length away. Same with the eclipse, except it's a little slower because of it's weight.
Statistics as far as I know haven't been very truthful, and I'm sure some people can second that here.

by the way, are you guys talking about racing from a complete stop or from already rolling at 20mph or any speed? Those two things are two very different factors. If I were to race civics, eclipses or whatever else and I was already moving then it would be a much closer result.

well.. against a 3rd gen eclipse thats slightly modded (exhaust, headers, intake, suspension), you should be able to win depending on your reactoin time... either from a complete stop or rolling...
