I dont see anything creepy.

Oh and I'd love to have navigation in my '97 but you'd need a complete JDM dash.

What's so creepy about the cloth seats though?? If I remember correctly, the '95-'96 TL's over here had cloth seats on the 2.5 and leather was available on the Premium models only.

I dont know if you had to have the premium to get leather..very few first gens had cloth. Also, there is no premium trim in '98.

In the 1998 models.. there are no packages or options except one...

TCS in the 3.2 was an option.

I dont think its illegal to have a right hand drive car, you just have to let the dmv know that your car is right hand drive. Cause I have seen at least 3 nissan skylines around here in VA, with VA plates. I have a friend that has a civic hatch and he did a right hand drive conversion, it was funny as hell when the cop stopped him to give him a ticket for loud exhaust, the cop felt stupid going to the left.

Well Skylines are imported through very strict methods.. having a car with right hand drive isnt illegal per say, but some cars that ARE right hand drive may not meet emissions or safety standards.

DOT inspection... i was thinking of importing a car from over there but heard it cost money to make it pass the DOT specs or something or other...

Oh well... don't have the money to do that...

We used to do a lot of exporting and had looked into shipping cars over from Germany about 15 years ago since we had all the shipping connections. There was way too much required to make 'em pass DOT specs in this country to make it worth it.
