Cooling Fan makes noise when AC on

Hi guys! I have this problem after I took out the wood trim and unplug the climate control wires to put the new CD receiver in. Before that the cooling fan fuse and radio back up fuse were blown out, so I replaced other 2.

U guys have any idea about this? Much appreciate

Thank you for the reply.
No, I mean the radiator fans making really loud noise when I turn on the AC. I dont know both of them or just one. Just today, even if I dont turn on the AC, whenever the fan is working, it's making real loud noise.

I think something is wrong with the fan bearing.

I wouldn't doubt it. Might just need a new fan.

I remember when changing my radiator, both fans came off fairly easy. They should come off with a socket and ratchet. If it's that hard, try extending the ratchet with a piping to give you more leverage. Be very careful not to break anything while doing so.

i would get an used one from a salvage yard, no use spending for a brand new fan in a 10+ yr old car.
You can buy the fan motor and just replace the motor. You should be able to find one at Autozone or Advance auto parts.

I remember someone here had done that, could be Texas.

I checked at the nearest junk yard, and there is a first gen TL without machine.
I might get a new one at advance auto. Thanks!

My school almost start, so I decided just getting a new one from Oreilly, but they gave me the wrong one. It doesnt fit the fan. I went to advanced auto. There were two of the radiator fan motors which were claimed to fit fan, but only the one brand Mitsuba($61) fit. The other one cheaper $45, but aint fit. Just FYI if u need a new radiator fan motor.

I forgot to mention that the 2.5TL have two kinds of radiators, so it just depends on which one you have. They come with either the Denso or the SAK. In your case you have the SAK. It's good to remember this whenever you need to order a new radiator for your car since the fans will not bolt to it correctly with the wrong radiator type. Glad you found out about it.
