There was a Prelude Type-SH in that generation. The rotors from that particular model won't fit on our cars, but the "regular" Prelude rotors will.

Prelude SH = Super Handling

It had ATTS (Automatic Torque Transfer System) that would power the outside front wheel more in a sharp corner.

for the 2.5 tl
90-97 accord front and rear struts.

this means u can use coilovers for an accord on your tl i suggest getting some with a stiffer spring rate because our cars are heavier

Following up on something here...

On the front suspension - are you trying to say 4 dr Sedan?

Reason is that I just tried the 4 door shocks, and they do not fit the 3.2 TL because of the diameter of the bottom of the shock.

My local yard has a 92 2 door Legend, and I'm thinking about yanking the forks to see if they would fit. Any info would be appreciated.

Is there an online OEM Parts place that has diagrams and part numbers (like I have for BMW)? That would make it really nice...

...Never mind on the online parts - found it via Kens post in another thread.

so what particular shocks actually fit the 3.2TL then, if you really dont know then please do some research before posting because it could be very misleading and may have someone spend money buying an item that isnt really compatible with their vehicle

I guess you are asking a general question there because it is quite confusing. Like you suggest, I went and bought a pair of front shocks from a Legend based on someone elses post, and they do not fit a factory setup.

I am in the middle of figuring out a way to get them to fit, however.

So, for now, the only ones I know of that fit are ones from Acura - unfortunately.

Update on the Front Shocks:

-I was able to get the KYB Shocks for the Legend to fit a 3.2TL by using a pair of Shock Forks off a Legend Donar Car

-Direct bolt on.

DOH! spelling mistake

Yep, like go90go says, pull the forks out of a donor Legend (Junkyard, or whatever) to "donate" the forks for your car.

Hello everybody,

I have been following this thread for some time to find out about replacement parts. I haven't had the need to post until now.

My 96 3.2TL needs front shocks and according to your information and experiences any 91-95 legend front shock would match. I would like to know if I have to pull them out of an at least 12 years old legend? Can't I just get KYB GR-2 or Monroe SensaTrac from a car parts store?

Advance auto sells KYB and Monroe, autozone sells Gabriel ultra shocks for 95 legend GS. The URL above doesn't work because of cookies. Check out for yourselves.

Well, you need to reread this thread a little closer (and look at my postings here and in other threads for the clues you seek).

I did a little more of a write up on another thread on how to get Legend Shocks to fit. It is not a direct bolt on, but very, very close.

i'll add mine findings:

Front Brake Rotors: 1991-1995 Legend Sedan
Air Conditioner Compressor: 1991-1995 Legend Sedan (Engine in the engine must look similar) and you need a slight modification
Alternator: 1995-1995 Legend Sedan (again, Engine must be facing the same way)

We have the same engine, haha. Only difference is one's OBDI and the other OBDII.

Oh, I shoved Legend rear brake pads into the 3.2 calipers and they worked with a little massaging into the holder. They're slightly too long, but will get in.
