The last owners said they had it done, but i didnt like the way it shifted from first to second, so I decided to change it again. I am glad I did. Two of the three tabs holding the filter in place had broken, and the 'o' ring at the top of the filter wasn't there. Needless to say, it shifts better now.

 

I don't even know how to do that. I guess it is in the helms book?

 

It was all pretty self explanitory. Drain all the fluid you can, remove all the bolts holding on the transmission pan, drop it, and take the three bolts out that hold the filter in place. Took me 25 minutes (because it was cold outside)

 

I just noticed this is first gen forum. I thought I was in 3G. But still good to know. I will check out the helms for my car
