CDPE0 - Burned CDs

I am constantly getting CDPE0 when I try to play burned CDs. I have some older burned CDs that I burned years ago that work perfectly fine. They are CD-R's. I just tried burning a CD-R and now I get CDPE0 when playing it. I tried burning the CD at 48X and at 8X but got the same result.

Any advice?

TDKs have always worked for me, never once had CDPE0 error, brands that have given me issues are sony, and sometimes fuji.. and any cheapo brand.

I figured out how to make it all work. I need to burn the CDs at 1X in order for them to play.

My Bose system in my 2.5TL (1998) plays CD-Rs fine. I've been using Maxell CD-Rs, but I burnt them at a relatively low speed (8x). I haven't tried anything burnt at a higher speed.
