Catalytic Converter

Hi, everyone I'm new here to this forum.
I own a 96 2.5tl, and recenlty my car has been extremely loud. It usually starts up and is loud but the loudness goes away once the engine is warm but now the loud noise is worse and I can hear it from inside the car even after driving for about an hour and on. The noise seems to be coming from the middle of the car right underneath the gear shift. I was told it could be the Catalytic Converter. Anyway i was looking for some of them on net and cant seem to find them, I was wondering if i could use any other catalytic converter from any acura model like the legend or the vigor. will the the catalytic converter from one of those cars fit onto mine?

Thanks

Sounds like exhaust rattle. Check the "hangars" that hold the pipe. It could be the cat rattling as well.
