I haven't but have thought of it. I'm pretty sure that someone here is looking into doing it. Search around a bit and I am sure you will find it.

I am working on it.....waiting for a colleague who is in China to get back to me ont eh USB motorized in dash touch screen. Once I have that, the computer itself is almost ready to go. Car should be running by the time I get back to T.O. from Florida end of this week, then I will start installing everything.

I have an idea for the parts (xenarc 700tsv lcd, epia itx board, soundblaster audigy 2nx). BUT the biggest problem I am having is figuring out how to power it all...I know i need a smart power supply for the computer like the M1-ATX or the OPUS.

1. where should I place the main power supply?
2. do i also need a separate power regulator for the computer?
3. how do i power the lcd screen???
3. how would i power the various extra usb devices like the audigy or a powered hub?

This power issue is the main stumbling block..

if u gonna go power just get an opus.. i know it is ridiculous paying 200 bucks for it but it is well worth the money...
1.) u can put it anywhere
2.) no.. cause the opus is DC-DC
3.) tap a power rail 12v + in the opus for the screen...
4 not the second 3 u have) tap a 5v rail in the opus...

if u want to go cheap then just get a regular ps and a power inverter... to me it is inefficient and noisy because u will hear the whing of the unit...but its another option..

or u can just get any power supply and join it with a ITPS... just do ur hw.. t
