Carpet cleaner

What's a good carpet cleaner? I don't want a spot cleaner, just a basic spray it foam to keep the carpet from getting gross.

I, however need a tough carpet cleaner. The wifey spilled gatorade on her car and NO cleaner has been able to get rid of it!

Anybody got rid of gatorade from their carpet?

I had a customer come in and buy Blue Magic spot cleaner. She swore up and down that it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

But that's a spot cleaner, and I want general purpose.

Gatorade gives you kidney stones!

I was cleaning carpets yesterday with laundry detergent and a brush, and I got pretty good results. I soaked the carpets with a hose, sprayed a laundry detergent solution which was roughly 4/5 water and agitated with a brush. Repeat as necessary. Also if anyone needs a good leather cleaner I would suggest Mothers because it works wonders!

My research on this carpet issue:

Folex

Spot shot

Meguiars APC+

Bissell with Oxyclean

Pretty popular topic!

Folex works great for spot treatments.

If you can thoroughly clean all the carpet apply 303 fabric guard over it to prevent future stains. I used fabric guard on the interior of my IS250 and when my friend spilled soda all over the floor mats we just had to flip the floor mat over and it was still dry.

Resolve got 10% of the stain.

I need to take down my Bissell and try it.

I've used Folex with above average success.
