Call me stupid, I dont care. I just LOVE my car.

Ok, so today when I was in a huge hurry to go pick up my laptop that was being fixed, then goto the gym, i was speeding constantly.

The second I got onto my local highway (I-270) I was flying... 80-90mph bopping through cars left and right, i hit 100 a couple of times but the highway was kind of cluttered.

When I got on the beltway (495, where there is never any cops sitting on the sides, checking speeds), I took the fuck off :p. A suburban tried to follow me, but he couldnt bop and weave through traffic while going through tight turns at 75-85 mph, like me

then I got onto 66 west (not too familiar with this highway so I didnt speed, I just cruised through.

got onto some normal roads and continued to haul ass screaming through traffic.

I arrive at my location...

(normally this trip would take about 40 minutes, I did it in about 30 or quicker)

When I finally parked and got out of my car to pick up my laptop, my hands were just full of sweat and I felt all my muscles release, they were tight for the past half hour

Another reason why I was just hauling ass all day today was because I finally got new tires, and holy freaking hell do they stick to the ground.

I just wanted to share my white-knuckle stories with you fellas... :p

good to have my laptop back.

I hope you don't take anybody else with you when you get seriously injured or killed. Not me, not my girlfriend, my family, my extended family, my neighbors, my neighbor's extended family, people on this board, their families. Anybody but you.

Its posts like these that always leave me with an internal conflict.

The "saint" in me agrees with wackjum's posts...Its definately a big risk and even bigger because you're not just risking yourself and your car, but everyone else on the road. Thats wrong, and you have no right to jeopardize them, especially for something like saving 10 minutes to pick up a laptop. Those ten minutes and the laptop, both not terribly precious, could have caused disasterous results for you and an unsuspecting (and probably law-abiding citizen)...

Then on the other hand...well, damn, who doesn't like to go fast? One could argue that was it smart, no probably not, but he didn't hurt anyone...this time at least. I can't preach, I speed, as Im sure many people on this forum do, and I also enjoy it while Im doing it...

This post was pointless I guess, but this is where Im at everytime a post like this shows up.

Haha. Hey man, I know how you feel. To me the 2.5TL hauled ass for what it was. Imagine now with my CL Type S with 260hp.

yeah I agree, when you say "10 minutes for a laptop" but when you are just speeding and having fun, all that goes out the sunroof

Not saying you have crashed. If you still drive like that after you crashed and hurt either yourself or somebody, then you don't deserve to have survived your first crash.

Saying you haven't crashed yet is hardly a justification for driving wild on a crowded freeway. What will you say when it does happen?

I'm not pretending to be on a high horse saying I don't speed. I think most people do. But it depends on the situation. There is no excuse for driving wild when others are around. For what?

How would you like it if your mom was sitting in traffic and got squashed to death by some nut who lost control?

And don't say it won't happen to you. You think people who crashed WANTED to crash? They woke up that day and said I'm gonna speed and intentionally lose control and plow somebody?

Anybody else who doesn't see a problem with what DJBlast is doing doesn't deserve to be on the road either.

People seem to think driving is a right. It's not. It's a privilege. Car accidents are number one cause of death in this country. Why is this?

I have a friend who graduated with me from high school. He went to UT and I suppose he would have had a good future.

We won't ever know how well he might have done because he was coming home from Austin on 290. Came up on some slower traffic and somebody plowed into him from behind and sent his car underneath an 18 wheeler.

So then what? "Sorry" or "Oops." Is that what you'd say to your victim(s)?

RIP Sean

BFGOODRICH, g-Force T/A

Im pretty sure they are these (we got em from sams club for cheap )
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgap...orcetakdws.jsp

Wait a minute. I remember you did crash once.

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-gutted-cat-124200/

You even said " being the fucking retard I am, I always want to push the car to the limit..."

So you have crashed. But you haven't learned so you're gonna do it again.

For anybody who disagrees: I'm not against speeding. I am against speeding, weaving, "bopping," "flying" and whatever else he calls it IN HEAVY TRAFFIC.

If you're on a deserted highway, go ahead and take your car to 120 mph. If you wipe it into a guardrail, its just you. But don't hurt other people.

I find it amazing that you yourself has crashed and you yourself admits its irresponsible but you're willing to risk it all for fun.

I suggest Russian roulette. It's pretty risky and fun. And when you blow your brains out, at least it'll be just you.

it's all good wackjum, give the guy a break, haha. Yeah there are some stupid very young drivers out there, but we have all done it, so you can't really give him the 3rd degree. Then again he has crashed once, so djblast, I hope you learned your lesson.

Going 100mph on 270 is just fucking stupid. Are you going to be at the BBQ? Id like to give you a firm kick in the jaw.

I live off exit 5 and I HATE idiots that put lives at risk for a cheap thrill. Go snort something if you are that desperate for a thrill.

I couldn't have said it better myself... i have a problem with speed myself. I find that its a race everywhere i go. ..and i guess i paid for it once when i got a ticket going 93 in a 55.. Do i still speed???? hell yeah.. I feel that i am a little more careful.. the old 18 year old me, would have been weaving in and out of traffic. but the new 28 year old me dosn't weave in and out of traffic anymore.. i mostly go fast when the road is clear and maybe a little bit of weaving.. def not in moderate to heavy traffic.. it took one car accident (not speed related) to gain a respect for cars and realize that yeah i couldn't control everything.. I mean seriously.. everyone speeds.. even the people on here bashing DJBLAST are closet speeders... and DJBLAST keep up the work.. if you like speeding , then keep it up... just know when to pick and choose your times.. in fact if i ever see ya on the highway, ill give ya a good run.. flame on

AH yes you understand me.

I pick and choose my times very well. Its not like I wake up in the morning and say "im gonna go speed EVERYWHERE and put everyones lives at risk!" it just happens...

some people are just so against it, and some just love the rush.

there is nothing you can say or show me that will change me for now, just wait till i mature or something.

Most of the people who speed and kill people, dont care.
If you arent mature enough to respect the lives of innocent people who just happened to be on the same road as you, then you probably shouldnt be driving.

Exit 5 is Falls Rd. Wha? Going too fast to read the exits?

Slow the fuck down

I probably wouldnt care as much if I didnt travel that road everyday and see BAD accidents from people going WAY too fast all the time just because they think "there is no cops"

No matter how cool it makes you feel.. . .at 100mph, you arent in full control of your vehicle....especially one thats not made for racing...

My car was built for speed.
It's a luxury sedan with a racecar heritage. Which explains the TL's robust 258-horsepower engine, 4-wheel independent suspension system and available 6-speed manual transmission. Of course, underneath the ample horsepower, broad torque curve and handling precision are the industry's most advanced technologies—like a Drive-by-Wire Throttle System™, which manages throttle opening to enable more rapid gear shifting and aluminum-alloy heads and block to keep the engine light and compact—a must for high-performance driving.

Wow. Copied straight from the Acura website. Do you believe all marketing fluff? I can sell you some "enlargement creams."

drdamian, no TL has 258HP. The 02-03 TL Type S has 260HP, and the 04-06 TL has 270HP. I agree though pretty much anything over 85MPH your not in total control, especially 100mph+

DJBLAST, thanks love you too, haha...

DJBLAST, thanks love you too, haha...
Isn't 258 the SAE corrected originally 270hp 3rd gen TL?

I understand that everyone speeds on relatively clear freeways and what not:

but this:
"got onto some normal roads and continued to haul ass screaming through traffic."

I'm sorry dude, that's just retarded.

If you loved your car so much, I don't see why you're willing to risk so much just for a couple of cheap thrills.

I'm barely older than you and I can understand this, not all 18 year old drivers feel the need for speed and cash crash their cars and "not care."
