CAI No No
I was wondering, all you guys who have the CAI with a cone filter on the end not in the fender. How do you gain hp when you are sucking up under hood temps (HOT) in the intake air. I just went the cheap route and took all the chambers off the stock system and I felt a difference in the seat of pants and my gas mileage. Now that is with a not so clean paper filter, haven't change it yet. This is just a thought. Holla back.
Ps. Does the 2.5 use a distributor cap if so is it something hard to replace and what is a good spark plug wire to replace my stockers and also the spark plugs?

Well I too went the cheap route and took out the stock intake filter and replaced it w/a nicer one but it didn't go through the fender. It did give me a quicker pick up, but after 2 years with it, I wanted a real CAI, so I bought the Type R CAI and just cut the tube to fit and turned it 180 degrees and it fits into the fender hole and the filter is right behind my front bumper. And let me tell you that I feel an increased difference in pick up, performance and gas. It was one of the best investments I have made to this car. I highly suggest. :wow:

I got my Type R CAI from 'AEM' manufacturer. Just go to your local hook up shop and ask them to order it for you or you can go to the 'AEM' website directly and order it there. I'll try to post pics soon, right now its in the shop getting some mods.
