Like anything else, probably need to replace once a year. Catching leaves, that's the point, instead of getting into our radiator, it stops it!

I am going to replace mine and will post DIY.

Here we go, did my mesh wirereplacement this weekend while draining and filling the coolant and tire rotation:



This is the HD mesh, comparing the old and new.

Finally, here's your access on the left side, need to unbolt the trim so you can reach in and hold the nut for the screw:



Done!!!

did it like 2 years ago dont really remember, i used same home depo gutter guard, for the lines around is the chrome you use for door edges, and the chrome lines its the chrome molding.
