Brake Failure

I was driving through Tulsa Oklahoma and my Master Cylinder just died. Lost all brakes. During rush hour.

I managed to e-brake it to a shop. They said they'd have it done today. They're saying that they started at 8am. It is now 1pm. I feel like I'm getting bent over a table on this. There is no way in hell that this job should take five fucking hours or six hours, even.

Could someone clarify how long it takes to replace a master cylinder, do a bench bleed, and then bleed the system?

I did it in a parking lot in 20 minutes, by myself, with one ratchet. I did ask a passing amigo to help bleed it because I didn't have a one-man bleeder on hand. Turned out he worked for my friend as a mechanic, too. Nice guy.

~Cheers~
